JORDAN

Below is the support letter I'm sending out this week. This is real...I can't wait to see what God's going to do!

God has done so much in my life over the past few months, that it is difficult to put it into words. As you probably know, I left Campus Crusade to start a new ministry with a few friends geared towards the American Church. This ministry has now begun, and we are called Illuminate! My role on this team will be to connect churches and people with what God is doing around the world. This is a dream opportunity, and I have felt the Lord’s strong guidance as I follow Him in this exciting, yet somewhat overwhelming adventure.

I will be traveling rather extensively in this new role, and my first destinations are Jordan and Israel. A team of four people, including myself, will be visiting these countries to meet with Christians there, and to see how God is moving in this part of the world. As we share this information with churches when we return, we can be a more effectual part of the Great Commission: to help mobilize an awakening Church to go to all nations.

Currently in Jordan, there are only 12,000 evangelical Christians, a number that has plummeted over the past 20 years. According to Operation World, a vast majority of the country is comprised of unreached people groups – those who have never heard the gospel. Our team will also hopefully be visiting Jericho, Israel, in the West Bank. There are currently no protestant churches in Jericho. We hope to encourage and pray for the believers in these two places, and to connect churches in America to them.

We will be leaving for Jordan on March 15, and returning on March 26. The approximate cost of this trip is $1,100, including a $900 plane ticket. You will soon be receiving more information about Illuminate, and I encourage you to continue supporting me on a monthly basis in this new ministry. I am, however, raising extra one-time support to cover traveling expenses for this trip. Would you prayerfully consider giving a gift of $25, $50, $100, or some other amount?
